About 15-5PH Stainless
15-5PH is the ferrite-free development of 17-4PH. A rebalanced chromium–nickel ratio eliminates delta-ferrite stringers, giving markedly better transverse ductility and fracture toughness — the properties that matter in thick sections and fatigue-rated forgings. It is commonly produced by remelting routes for cleanliness.
Strength levels and heat treatments mirror 17-4PH, so designers upgrade without changing hardening practice. DMK Alloys supplies 15-5PH bars and forged blanks, including premium-quality remelted material for critical applications.
