What this range covers

Some components are specified not for load but for behaviour: an expansion coefficient near zero (Invar 36), or matched to borosilicate glass for hermetic seals (Kovar-class Ni-Co-Fe), or a magnetic permeability high enough to shield a sensor (Mu-metal). These nickel-iron systems, with pure nickel, oxygen-free copper and the refractory metals, are the quiet enablers of electronics, metrology and semiconductor equipment.

The range is supplied to order as bar, strip (down to photo-etching thickness), wire and tube, with glass-sealing and deep-drawing quality options where the application demands them.
