About Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5)
Ti-6Al-4V accounts for more than half of all titanium tonnage for a reason: an alpha-beta chemistry that heat treats to over 1000 MPa, machines and forges predictably, and keeps titanium's corrosion resistance and low density. Its strength-to-weight ratio remains the benchmark against which structural alloys are measured.
The grade is specified across airframe structures, rotating engine parts, fasteners and energy hardware. DMK Alloys manufactures Ti-6Al-4V bars, billets, forged blanks and finish-machined components, in annealed or solution-treated-and-aged condition.
