About Alloy 80A
Alloy 80A is a precipitation-hardenable alloy built on the 80/20 nickel–chromium base and strengthened by titanium and aluminium gamma-prime formers. Developed for the first generation of gas-turbine blading, it remains a reference grade for creep-rupture strength to about 815 °C combined with excellent oxidation resistance.
The alloy is commonly supplied solution treated and aged, with tightly controlled grain size for blading and fastener applications. DMK Alloys produces Alloy 80A bars, forged blanks and profiled components with heat treatment to customer specification.
