About Titanium Grade 2
Titanium Grade 2 is the most widely used commercially pure (unalloyed) titanium. Its moderate strength comes from controlled oxygen and iron levels, while the stable passive oxide film gives outstanding corrosion resistance in oxidising, chloride and marine environments — at 56 % of the density of steel.
The grade is readily cold formed and welded, and is the usual starting point when corrosion resistance and weight matter more than absolute strength. DMK Alloys supplies Grade 2 as bars, billets and blanks for machined and fabricated components.
