About Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Grade 23)
Grade 23 is Ti-6Al-4V with oxygen, iron and other interstitials held to extra-low limits. The cleaner chemistry trades a little strength for a significant gain in fracture toughness and ductility — including at cryogenic temperatures, where standard Grade 5 loses margin.
It is the variant specified for damage-tolerant airframe structures, cryogenic hardware and medical implants. DMK Alloys supplies Grade 23 bars, billets and blanks with interstitial control certified per order.
